ReUseHeat is part of the Innovation Radar

The Innovation Radar is a European Commission initiative to identify high potential innovations and innovators in EU-funded research and innovation framework programmes. The goal of this initiative is to allow every citizen, public official, professional and business person to discover the outputs of EU innovation funding.

 

The Innovation Radar platform builds on the information and data gathered by independent experts involved in reviewing ongoing research and innovation projects funded by the European Commission. These experts also provided an independent view regarding the innovations in the projects and their market potential. Innovation Radar’s analysis of the ReUseHeat innovations is based on data collected on 10/07/2019.

 

Over the summer, two ReUseHeat partners received a notification that their innovations developed in the project have been included in the European Commission’s Innovation Radar. Details of these innovations, and how they were categorised by the analysis, are as follows:

– Innovation Title: Waste heat recovery from a data centre and reuse for district heating;
– Market Maturity of the Innovation: ‘Exploring’;
– Market Creation Potential of the innovation: Addresses needs of existing markets.

 

– Innovation Title: Dashboard to raise awareness of citizens on investments in energy efficiency;
– Market Maturity of the Innovation: ‘Exploring’;
– Market Creation Potential of the innovation: Addresses needs of existing markets.

 

Additionally, ReUseHeat partners Veolia Energie Deutschland, EDF – ElectricitĂ© de France, Metropole Nice CĂ´te D’Azur have been recognised as ‘Key Innovators’.

 

We believe that ReUseHeat’s inclusion in this initiative confirms that the work the Consortium has been developing is innovative and has a great potential for making impact into society.
