On 14 November 2018, the project ReUseHeat had its own session at the 4th International Conference on Smart Energy Systems and 4th Generation District Heating in Aalborg, Denmark. Organised by the 4DH Strategic Research Centre, the RE-INVEST project and Aalborg University, the conference aims to showcase scientific findings and industrial experiences related to the subject of Smart Energy Systems based on renewable energy and future 4th Generation District Heating Technologies and Systems. This year, the organisers welcomed more than 300 participants from 25 countries.
The ReUseHeat session was split in three sub-topics: excess heat potential, business models/contracts arrangements, financing for excess heat. Speakers’ list included Urban Persson (Halmstad University), Kenneth Hansen (Aalborg University), Kristina Lygnerud (IVL), Chris Garside (Nordic Heat) and moderation was done by Alessandro Provaggi (Euroheat & Power).
