Waste heat solutions for Europe’s green recovery

On 19 March 2021, ReUseHeat joined forces with DryFiciency, REWARDHeat and R-ACES in a discussion on the opportunities to realising the potential of waste heat, and how they can be leveraged using the latest technological solutions.

The discussion involved projects focusing on both industrial waste heat recovery (R-ACES and DryFiciency) and urban waste heat recovery from unconventional sources (REWARDHeat and ReUseHeat). Each project coordinator delivered a presentation, followed by a high-level panel discussion about the role of waste heat recovery in energy system decarbonisation.

Kristina Lygnerud shared learnings to date from the four ReUseHeat demo sites and brought her perspective on the appropriate business models for waste heat recovery.
